The House!
We purchased the blue house during the summer of 2019. After searching for months, we knew this was it because of the location and floor plan. The home was in such good shape that we thought about not even painting. Please visit our "About" page to see why that wasn't an option for us.
The house is a great weekend getaway for friends and family to share. It sleeps up to six comfortably in the three bedrooms. There's a sleeper sofa in the living room and couch in the den for kids and others, but we do want to limit this to six guests.
The home sits on one acre. We've added a privacy fence in the front because it does sit close to the quiet dead end road. The rest has deer fencing so dogs don't escape. There's a fire pit on the property as well.
We were conscientious about making the house comfortable and enjoyable should there be harsh weather (or quarantine!) that keeps our guests indoors. It's a great place to be lazy!
Enter through the living room where there's a sitting area and hideaway TV with Roku. We've added a modern Jotul propane burning stove in the corner for those chilly nights. The room is an open plan with the kitchen, equipped with brand new small and large appliances . Our mid century dining table extends from 9" to 9', so you can have extra space when not dining. There's a sliding door that leads out to the wrap around deck.
The first floor bedroom, den and bathroom are up a couple of steps behind a barn door we've added for extra privacy. This bedroom has a queen sized four post bed. The small den is another hanging area. This room has a second streaming TV, books, and some old school CDs and DVDs. You'll also find an assortment of board games in here. The brand new fun black and white bathroom features a towel heater and bidet attachment.
At the top of the stairs is the largest bedroom. This blue room has a queen sized sleigh bed, sitting area and foosball table. It's probably the best room to share with small children.
Two more steps up is the king sized red bedroom, which is en suite, but this bathroom is shared with the other upstairs bedroom. The bedroom has a desk for anyone who needs to get some work done while vacationing. The bathroom has a shower and bathtub.
